About us

We are people who have been benefited from homeopathic medicine and we formed in our days the association Hellenic Secretariat of Homeopathy (E.G.O) through which are expressed about 22.000 individuals. We are people who want to know what is happening in our organism and to have the chance to decide for ourselves after we understand first what is happening to us. We are people that want human collaboration with our doctors and do not accept others to decide for us instead of us, wearing the cloak of the absolute and inaccessible authority. We respect our doctors, we trust them and we accept their scientific opinion but we do not tolerate to be deprived of the right to co-decide with them for matters concerning ourselves. We are the kind of people that seek the most painless, for our health and our pocket, therapeutic solutions. We are those who addressed homeopathy when we found ourselves in an impasse and found effective and lasting solutions in our problems. We are those who we have achieved a high level of health and prevention with the aid of homeopathy, thus as members of a society that seeks always for the best, we feel the obligation to transmit our experience to others who might also need it.

Our association is open to anyone who cares about society as a whole with a broad mind and responsibility.

According to our statute themembers of the Association are classified in regular, honorary and ex officio.
- Regular member can become any person who accepts the objectives of the association, irrespective of sex or nationality, and who is over the 18th year of age and has been proposed from two regular members.
- Honorary members can become persons nominated from the Administrative Board who have offered exceptional services for the achievement of the aims of the Association.
- Ex officio members can be nominated from the Administrative Board scientists who have specialised knowledge in the science of Homeopathetic Medicine.

Aims of the Association are:
- The contribution in the promotion of Homeopathetic Medicine.
- The enlightenment of the public opinion with regard to:

a) its value as a therapeutic system
b) its importance in the pursuit of the priceless commodity/good of health
c) its significant offer to the suffering humanity

- The recognition of Homeopathetic Medicine from the State.

- The creation of bonds between its members and their intellectual, cultural and social development.

The aims of the Association are achieved
with the following means and activities:
- With the development of all kinds of educational, cultural and recreational activities.

- With the conduct of seminars, lectures, discussions and any other relevant activity.
- With printing publications, projection of films, foundation and operation of a library-lounge.

- With publications, announcements, collaborations with the media of mass communication.
- through collaboration with scientific, intellectual organisms or organisations, with other associations, with societies or unions, with insurance institutions and generally with any relevant institution Greek, foreign or international.
- With the study of all the issues, the submission of proposals and the keeping up with the legislative or other measures that influence the aims and the interests of the Association, the submission of reports, applications/petitions and memoranda as well as sending delegations to the Greek Parliament or to other Authorities, with regard to the aforementioned.

- With organizing blood donations, taking up collections, charity lotteries, concerts, exhibitions, publications, radio-station, artistic events.

The creation of these web pages is one of the means for the achievement of the aims of our association. These pages will be enriched and updated with recent news concerning homeopathy mainly in Greece. However, we will also have responsible information from abroad.

Our doctors
We consider also our obligation to refer to the people who have helped us medically because these doctors have created us, all the benfited from homeopathy, and essentially constitute the generating cause for the creation of our association.

This reference is made because these people entered the last years in the eye of cyclone of publicity. Became public faces. They were discussed by all of us. They were judged, blamed, interrogated and distinguished. Every aspect of their private personal life was brought to publicity. Thus, since they are considered public faces and subjects mostly talked over, we henceforth have the right to speak about them
Especially since we are the persons who have known them and have been watching them them for several years, thus we are the most appropriate to express an opinion about them. We know them as scientists and also as human beings. We have seen them through good times and difficult times and so we have the right to speak about them frankly, without fear or passion, and above all, serving only the provision of information and the support of homeopathy as our statutory aims forecast.

The Inspiration
Medical doctor Spyros Diamantidis was born in 1948 in Thessaloniki. He grew in Alexandroupoli of Thrace where he graduated from high school. His father was one of the most prominent lawyers in Greece. His dream from his early years was to study medicine and to serve the suffering human being. He realised his dream by studying medicine in Athens and coming thus in contrast with his father who wanted his son to become a lawyer. When he reached the 5th year of his medical studies, he realised that his vision was very far from what offered conventional medicine. He realised that he had made a big sacrifice disturbing/spoiling even his relationship with his father for the sake of a science that finally did not correspond to his vision. It was then that he began a research in the not-conventional territory of medicine where he discovered homeopathy. He returned, took his degree from the medical school of the university and became immediately student of the great professor P. Schmidt in Geneva. He studied in many from the traditional places of homeopathy and acquired many titles.

He conducted personally many proovings of homeopathetic medicines and thus acquired not only knowledge but also personal experience of the Materia Medica.

He was characterized as the guru of homeopathy due to his exceptional eloquency and the lively way he transmits his knowledge. Wherever he gives a lecture the halls are filled to capacity. He gave new perspective in the interpretation of the phenomena of homeopathy and he founded the grounds of the objective, instead of subjective, homeopathic diagnosis through his personal theory of MAN.I.N.A (Man’s Intellectual Normalities and Abnormalities) and through the theory of the active cast. He raised the therapeutic results of homeopathy to very high levels by applying new therapeutic formulas that were always based on the dynamics and the sublte truths of Hahnemanian teachings. Thus, he gave new thrust to the development of homeopathy that for years had been riveted (immobilized).

He is considered the renovator of homeopathy and the revivor of its modern expression who brings it worthfully in the third millenium.

Medical team of Diamantidis
The medical team of Diamantidi’s is a dynamic scientific team that accomplished in in the last 15 years to present most important social and scientific work.

It is constituted from doctors who are the only homeopathetic doctors in Greece who, as medical professionals, practise solely and permanently homeopathic medicine, and have not aquired a conventional medical specialty.
Thus, they resisted to the model of doctor who in the morning prescribes conventional medicines in the hospital and in the afternoon supplements his income by administering homeopathetic medicines.

This medical team had important actions and achievements such as:

- Elevated homeopathy from its marginal place in Greece by offering free from charge three-year lessons to 2500 doctors, pharmacists, dentists and veterinarians.
- Held 70 round table discussions, with free ently for the public, on subjects of big social interest, such as cancer, narcotics and AIDS.
- Participated in the homeopathetic Committee of the Ministry of Health formed with nr. D1G / 2284/88 ministerial decision of the unforgettable G.Gennimatas aiming at the submission of proposals for the terms and the conditions of exercise of homeopathy in Greece.
- Organised 12 national and 5 international congresses in Greece and Cyprus.
- Made dynamic interventions in the competent ministries and services of Greece supporting the consolidation of patient’s right to have the pharmaceutical expenses covered from health insurance funds and organisms.
- Made hundreds of appearances in the mass communication media promoting and advancing homeopathy.
- publishes magazine HOMOEOTYPOS with medical subjects in 30.000 copies.

Today the medical team of Diamantidis is constituted from many scientists of health field. We will currently mention, however, those who have suffered directly the consequences of the unfair attack at homeopathy and who continue to serve with consistency their scientific field.
